Power Engineering: Launch of The University of Queensland’s Industry 4.0 Energy TestLab

Our congratulations to The University of Queensland on the recent launch of their Industry 4.0 Energy TestLab. It is a world-class laboratory that enables investigation and research into the entire power network – from generation (conventional and renewable) through to consumption and management.

UQ’s recent article “Digital revolution underway with UQ’s Industry 4.0 Energy TestLab” following the launch, notes that the facility “will enhance global knowledge on electricity networks by focusing on power systems analytics, energy management and microgrids."

UQ Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Deborah Terry AO was quoted as saying: “It’ll serve as a point of engagement between industry, researchers and students – enabling knowledge transfer and collaboration around power and energy system analytics, microgrid control, energy management, and cyber-physical systems security.”

We are incredibly proud to have worked with the UQ team, led by Professor Tapan Saha, an expert in the field of Power Engineering. Our comprehensive solution from the Lucas-Nülle Power Engineering range provides the ideal blend of emulation and simulation to put an entire grid environment into the lab for education and research.
